California Spanking Bill AB 755 Amended In Assembly, Still A Threat To Families

Yesterday (April 24, 2007) the California Spanking Bill AB 755 was amended as discussed in the Assembly Public Safety Committee on the 17th. The bill has not been fixed and still effectively outlaws spanking with a spoon or ruler or any other inanimate object.

Take Action!

"Or any other inanimate object." That caught me off guard for a minute. I'm thinking hamsters and stuff. But then, it is after 1AM. I cannot imagine how CA imagines they could even enforce this. The system is certainly already overloaded with real abuse cases...and children who receive zero direction from their parents who are running wild.
