Anti-Spanking Bill AB 755 Moves Forward

Yesterday the anti-spanking bill AB 755 passed out of California's State Assembly Public Safety Committee. I was there watching as the Democrats totally ignored the concerns of attorneys and pro-family groups and said that they thought it wasn't a spanking bill. If they had been convinced that it was a bill dealing with spanking I don't think it would have passed. The chairman of the committee, Jose Solorio, who has two children of his own said that he didn't think that spanking should be against the law - and then voted yes on the measure.

Don't these politicians have better things to do than control how parents discipline their children? I mean really.
